CPR-SOS offers businesses real world, hands on training that can save lives by empowering your team with CPR skills in lifelike scenarios. We take a deep dive into the practical skills needed, and learn how to manage the scene where a cardiac arrest has happened, before moving onto lifelike scenario training.
We break down the ‘Sequence of Survival’. What different roles need assigning if there is more than one person present and what each person should do, and in what order.
When to do it:
What should be done first? What's the actual sequence of things that need doing to help get the best results possible?
How to do it:
We teach the best practical ways to deliver high quality CPR, remembering that people are bystanders who have been motivated to assist by their own willingness to help someone at the most crucial of times.
Who does it:
Assigning the roles to those at the scene, quickly and with an understanding of how to make the best use of the resources and people there.
After learning and practising the Sequence of Survival, we put people in a real-world situation that is designed to test their newly acquired skills to the limit. This is done in a safe and supportive way that enables them to learn the most, and to be their most effective.
The scenario section of the CPR-SOS course is, we believe, unique in non-professional healthcare CPR training. Using scenarios is widely considered to the very best way to learn a practical skill such as CPR.
CPR-SOS is not the normal ‘first aid at work’ course. It compliments and enhances the teams skills and empowers them to help when confronted with the most severe of all medical conditions…someone in cardiac arrest.
The training contributes to the business’s Corporate & Social Responsibility standing by equipping the team with these enhanced skills that are a benefit for the whole community.
The training builds a great sense of togetherness with each person who attends knowing they can count on their colleagues when helping with a cardiac arrest patient, or, if the very worst were to happen to them, that their teammates are able to intervene effectively.
It shows the world that the business really cares about its team, its wider community, and the wellbeing of all.

Martin Unerman is the founder of CPR-SOS and he has a passion for educating people in lifesaving skills.
He has a background in cardiac rehabilitation, trauma care, frontline first responding with the NHS ambulance service, and is a Resuscitation Council UK BLSi instructor.
CPR-SOS is designed to bring real-world lifesaving knowledge to the wider public by drawing on Martin's experience, and communicating that in a dynamic and easy to understand way. His goal is to empower people to feel confident in their skills when confronted with someone in cardiac arrest, and then to be central in getting the best possible outcomes.
